Beginner looking for connections in Washington DC - DMV Area

Craig Bass

Hello Everyone - My name is Craig Bass and I live in Washington DC with my wife and two daughters. I am new to the bigger pockets community and I would love to connect with experienced investors in the DMV region. Our ideal strategy is to househack a multifamily property in Washington DC. I would appreciate any connections and advice.

Welcome to BP @Craig Bass. Lots of DC area members on BP.

Househacking is a great strategy, as is multifamily. Keep in mind the rarity of multifamily in the area compared to other metro areas.

DC proper has the most for the area with about 4% of the housing stock being multifamily 2-4 unit properties.  The percentage in the suburbs isnt even measurable.  Only about 200 multis sell per year on average in the entire metro area. Also the amount that even exists is shrinking, as they get carved up into condos.
