Just starting out in REI

Hi I am new to the BP community and am looking to get into REI. I have been specifically looking into fix and flips and multi-family rental properties via the beloved BRRRR method for cash-flow. A little about myself, I am a nurse who travels between the East Coast(PA and NYC) and Los Angeles. I have never owned a home or property due to my travels so I would technically be a FTHB. All that being said I am here to learn and am happy to take any advice on starting out. I am also looking to network, with agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, and anyone else that would like to chat in the Lehigh Valley Pa(Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton) and surrounding areas including Philly. I am looking to build a team in those areas. I have so many questions as to how to begin but will leave that in the "Starting Out" forum. Looking forward to meeting everyone

    @Michelle Sanchez

    Welcome to the BiggerPockets community! No matter where you stand in your real estate investing journey, BiggerPockets is the ultimate resource for all of your investing needs. I’d suggest starting out by networking with as many other investors as possible and be an active participant in the forums. You can use the network tab up on top of the site here and find professionals in the locations you are looking.

    If you haven’t already subscribed to the BiggerPockets podcasts, do that ASAP. Look for meet ups in your area (virtual), attend free webinars, start reading as much as possible on any and all topics related to investing and real estate. Use the forums to help you search for the answers to all of your questions. If you can’t find your answers, then create your own post!

    Feel free to DM me with any questions.

    Good luck and get educated!
