Hello. My name is Patrick Leonard and I am from central Massachusetts. I graduated college in May of this year and have been working full time ever since. I started to save money from every paycheck because I know that I want to try flipping a couple houses in 2014 with my best friend and business partner Jake. We are both looking at 2014 as a learning period in which we hope to learn as much as we can so that we can establish a solid business for the future. Welcome to BP and to getting involved with Real Estate investing.

We have a lot of good REIAs and other REI networking events in MA so I would recommend getting out to as many of them as you can to learn more about real estate and network with your local colleagues.

Given your location and goals you definitely should go to the Black Diamond meetings the next two month in Worcester. Top notch event put on by 4 very experienced local pros. The topic for the next 2 meetings are estimating rehab costs (Interior one month and exterior the other) so this will be great info for you and your partner. I don't have a calendar in front of me but I am sure that @Ann Bellamy

can give you the specifics.
