Real Estate Broker's License Pre-Requisites

Nicholas Whitman
Posted

I am interested in obtaining my real estate broker's license in Washington DC. When I looked a the requirements for endorsement I noticed that you must have two (2) years' experience as a licensed salesperson along with taking pre-requisite course work and passing the Broker exam.

With regards to the two (2) years as a licensed salesperson, can this apply to any previous sales experience (not in real estate) or do you have to hold an actual DC sales license for 2 years?

I am new to property management and I have yet to obtain my salesperson license

@Nicholas Whitman You need to have held and worked as a real estate sales person for 2 years.
