What Are We Actually Building Toward?
Lately, I’ve been realizing there’s another way to live and it's not slower because we’ve “given up.” Nor is it smaller because we “lack ambition.”
Rather.… more intentional.
A life with a steadier pace, a quieter mind and a fuller life..
One where success isn’t only measured by how many units, one owns.. Not a life surrounded by followers, deals or titles..
Not even one with the constant motion that we convince ourselves is required, otherwise we are "failing"...
But a life filled with peace, presence, health, relationships, purpose, and the environment we create around the people we love.
Out here, in our neck of the woods we tend animals, grow food, fix things that break , sit in silence sometimes and watch storms roll in, as we listen to the rain drops hit the brims of our hats.
Learning patience whether we want to or not has taught us something valuable...
We're not meant to have all the answers. Furthermore, we're not meant to hold them all at once..
Why?
Our lens: because we're meant to get dirty in the trenches with those who surround us and that creates a real feeling..
And oddly enough… it’s taught me more about real estate, business and leadership than I expected.
Because real sustainability requires stewardship. Not constant extraction. Not endless hustle and not chasing every shiny opportunity until you forget why you even started building in the first place...
I think a lot of people feel exhausted and not because they’re weak…
Because modern life rarely teaches us how to slow down long enough to actually live inside what we’re building.
There’s beauty in building something bigger than ourselves. Not overnight hype, not perfectly tailored and not even loudly.
Just a pace steady enough to live intentionally and feel abundantly.
Together we build, connection we create and feelings that can't be curated.
Curious if anyone else here has found themselves reevaluating what “success” actually means lately.
