So hurricane Irma is making way for Florida, suppose to hit on Saturday. Hope everyone stays safe out there. What can I do and everyone who has a rental property in Florida, to prepare for this hurricane ? Any suggestions ? Not even sure how to approach this. Any help is appreciated.

Don't take this lightly. This is the largest storm in recorded history coming out of the Atlantic. I'm 10 miles inland but off of the manatee river, I'm taking all precaution. Yes this will be more if a wind event but when there's hurricane Bands, there are Tornados. A tornado is a like a can opener to the roof and then rain comes in.

I'm boarding up my rental tomorrow and then my home afterwards.

If this was like Harvey, thankfully it's not, St Pete and Clearwater would be underwater.

Sadly we just don't know when it's going to turn.. I'm praying for all my friends in the keys and Miami.. Naples too. Right now it's looking like south Florida and then into the Gulf which is a whole new batch of Problems..
