There are still deals to be had in Detroit... though maybe not downtown.  The East Jefferson Corridor will see exponential growth in the next 5 to 10 years.  Lafayette Park, Elmwood Park, The Villages, the riverfront, and Jefferson Chalmers are already seeing new commercial development.  There's even talk of development near Conner Creek.  Much like Woodward links downtown to the northern suburbs, Jefferson is the commercial link to the Grosse Pointe neighborhoods.  Right now, capital is focused on Kercheval but it doesn't have the growth potential of Jefferson.
