Where do you get your vinyl windows?

Question

I'm doing my first flip, and we don't know where to get anything, so we've been mostly buying from the big box stores. The nice big 4x8 windows we ordered from Lowe's are suddenly delayed by a couple of weeks (they were supposed to have arrived already). Where do the experienced folks in Maryland get decent quality vinyl windows, in stock or with a quick turnaround?

Account Closed the auctions sound good . But here is the problem , you spend hours looking for something that may do the job . What ever you want to bid on comes up near last , so there goes more of your day . Then when they get to your pick , there is that one person that wants it more than you . Or by luck you win and you find it wont quite work .  Now I hope you have a truck , and more time , because you need to check out and collect what you have bought .

I save time by buying new windows , I save money by saving time .

I order all of my windows from castle Wholesalers.. There is one in Brentwood by the DC/MD line and another in Baltimore.. They stock all the common sizes but a 4'x8' would be a special order.  If you really need 4 feet x 8 ft windows I might suggest Southern sales auction on Feb 2nd in Baltimore city.  Southern Sales and Services.

Thanks, Bob! My partner's residential retail window guy's quote to source and install Vytex in our flip was so high that we didn't pursue it, but I didn't know that they'll do installation as well. Next time!

Awesome, thanks @Christopher Haynes! Lowe's also gave us a runaround with the cabinets, so I'm delighted to have another avenue to investigate for those as well.

I'll look into the auction! I know there's one coming up on February 23rd at the Howard County Fairgrounds, and we'd been planning to at least go and gawk, but I hadn't heard about the one at Southern Sales on the 2nd. Great tips!

Try Vytex in laurel MD. They manufacture their own window lines and also offer an installed price that is still fair compared to many of the Window companies that advertise heavily. I buy all my window there and either install them myself or get an experienced window installer to put them in for a little less than Vytex does it for.

If you dont have the time, i recommend letting them do the whole thind from measure to install for a one stop shop. It might be a 2-4 week timeframe depending on the season so get started early.  Its nice because they can make the windows any size you want at a standard price for up to 101 unit inches ( width +height)
