Hey folks,
I just recently closed on a small SFR in St Cloud and have it rented out as of yesterday. As I do not live anywhere near there, I would like to find a few resources that might be able to help me.
First and most pressing, I need someone to take care of the yard. Can you refer me to a local landscaper/yard maintenance person?
I will also be looking for a reputable HVAC guy, plumber and electrician who have 24/7 on call services. If youve got anyone you recomment, I'd appreciate it.

@Ryan Tuleja if you plan on this being a hands off investment I would really consider a property manager in the area. As the owner of one property in the area nobody is going to jump to your service like they may for their larger accounts. It isn't worth their time for the opportunity of $200 per year. If your property is in a decent state of repair the likelihood of needing 24/7 service are very unlikely so I wouldn't sweat it too much. Hopefully someone replies but my thought is that you will be on your own for finding your contacts.
You could start at the city website - most cities list contractors in the area.

@john
Longterm ill have it professiinally managed, but i want to spend a year or so learning the ups and downs of management.
Outside of the routine lawncare, i am mostly nust looking for contractors in the area to handle emergencies. Im a former HVAC tech and will deal with most of the maintenance issues myself, i just want to have some phone numbers available in case something happens while im traveling or cant get up there for some reason.
BTW, the thumbtack app is pretty useful for finding contractors and seeing how past customers feel about them. Ive got three lawn mowing services bidding on the work now and will sfart searching for skilled trades next

Definitely agree with @Ryan Tuleja about thumbtack. Also I've had success with homeadvisor and taskrabbit. I like the way taskrabbit let's you pick a contractor by their hourly rate.
Congrats on the new SFR!
