I believe investing in Buy & Hold properties in Lubbock, TX, could be a smart move. Lubbock's rental demand is boosted by Texas Tech University, and its diverse economy adds to the potential.

I don't live or invest in Lubbock, but if you are looking for single family I would think that is a good place.  Probably gets good population growth from the smaller towns around.  Most of the Texas universities like Tech seem to be bursting at the seems and with population growth that probably continues.   Lots of our kids have to go out of state, because they can't get in.   They have a medical and vet school there and that also means a university hospital for the region.

That's probably the two big demand drivers....also some ag and some energy.  It's a big enough city with plenty of land so one day I wouldn't be surprised to see it snag something big like a car factory, battery factory, chip factory, etc.  Not sure if they have the power and water to drive those, but I would guess they do.   Certainly plenty of educated and very hard working loyal workforce.

I have clients with a dozen MF buildings there,its a decent enough market with out of city investors, but the growth is sort of capped due to location, lack of jobs, etc.
