I am looking to hire contractors for a fall project and wondering if I need a gc.

I am looking to do a fall project on a fixer- upper to hold and rent.
1. Can anyone offer insight into whether or not I truly need a gc?

2. Also what are the best questions to ask when vetting any contractor?

In the beginning I'd recommend using a reputable GC, as you become more experienced you may (or may not) want to manage your project.

personally before interviewing GC's I'd educate myself on Michigan contractors license laws and requirements. Remember to trust but verify all information you receive, that includes me lol.

here's a link but please do a deeper dive.
