How to verify WI contractor license

Ive got a quote for a rehab along with the contractors W9. 

- How would i verify the business license  information ?

- Do the contractors need to be insured and bonded ? 

Contractor is from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

check what they said above. Ask them for their insurance info and then call the insurance company to ensure it is still valid. You can have a insurance card and cancel the insurance. The card still has an active date but there isn't insurance
