chicago demo court

Do you have any experiences with Chicago demo court ? I have a property that's a good material for flip…but I would like to find out if the demo court is really tough to work with. Basically I would not like the situation when I work with one arm of Chicago bureaucracy to pull permits while the other arm is sending bulldoggers to level my place. If anybody had a situation like that I would appreciate any input.

While taking a trip to the City of Chicago building department may be educational, I think the best use of your time is coordinating w/ your attorney & your GC.  The GC should have a list of the violations & be working w/ you on the renovation plan & getting the permits.  The attorney will need the plan & associated permits to get the property off the demo docket.  

Did you use an attorney to close this deal?  If you did interview him 1st to see if he's gone thru the process.  I'll send you a PM w/ an attorney referral.
