Hi BP,

A newbish question.  Anyone has experience on rehab/remodel older homes with lead based paint?  I am curious about:

- do you just paint over it or need to strip it first?

- when selling, do you still disclose lead-based paint?

- Pros/Cons/ warning signs.

- any other tips, cautions, and helpful info

I am looking to buy $50~60k homes and surely there'll be plenty lead based paints.

thanks for helping out.

Chris

Home depot has a sealant called ECOBOND to seal the lead paint. It's about $50 a gallon. As far as disclosure goes, I would think so, but I don't know for sure
