I can pick up this house for a pretty good price, but it is so ugly...any ideas?

What's the plan? Flip, or rent? If it's rent - I'd say it's great!
Flip? Hmmm... Might be okay with a nice paint job, maybe a 2 tone (top/bottom) and cool modern-painted shutters. I'd destroy that hedge and put in some modern landscaping. And maybe sprucing up that front porch to look a little more "classic" might do wonders.
