Hi,

Complete newbie on the Detroit area, can those who live/lived/invested in the area give me the general demographic of those living in the following areas, decent investment potential? growth potential? Would you look at these areas personally etc?

Grandmont

Grandmont-rosedale

South Grandmont

Belmont

Fitzgerald

Grandale

@Chris Barr@Christopher M. @Jamiel Strickland you could add another list of 12 areas to that list and there in-lies the challenge with Detroit, there are so many areas, so much inventory, over so much land it can be daunting. Where does one even start?

First congrats! because you have found the best city to invest in. 

We have found it best to let the investment strategy and returns desired drive the area.

If you are seeking flips, some of the more well know (which you listed) are good areas to start

However if you are seeking appreciation there are others, cashflow yet others, low acquisition even more.

If you share your investment strategy ( roi goals, cashflow or appreciation) happy to give further advice, resources, experiences.
