Cleveland Ohio amidst COVID

Hey my fellow REI's,

First off, I hope everyone is safe, healthy and most importantly staying in positive spirits. I am thinking of purchasing my second rental in Cleveland but given that I'm an out of state investor it's always difficult to get the full scope of boots on the actual ground. I would love to hear anyone's experiences on their current rentals as well as whether or not they have found it difficult filling current vacancies given the countries economic circumstances in your perspective areas. Thanks in advance for sharing your insight and as always happy hunting!

Best,

Char :)

My rentals are mostly in a suburb of Cleveland (Bedford) but we've had a couple of units turn over since the pandemic started and haven't had any problems getting good new tenants. I'm also an accountant working with a lot of small businesses in Cleveland and Lakewood, and I'm definitely seeing an impact from it, but surprisingly few of my clients seem to be in real distress. Even restaurants are pulling through. For better or worse, Cleveland is mostly open for business and economically we seem to be doing okay.
