Nouveau Riche?

Question

Does anyone know the bottom line on this "Real Estate College?" I work in the housing industry and invest. I was approached by some college kids who claimed all sorts of fabulous things about the school and program. The only factual info they gave me was the outrageous cost of the courses. Anybody
know what the bottom line on these people is?

There are many choices you can make depending on you and your needs we have home study courses or tuition levels and we also have online streaming courses. Depending on your goals we have education from $300/month for 12 months up to $16,000 for 120 hours of classed that you have two years to redeem each class is typically one or two days 6 hours each and you can repeat your classes once for free in order to promote retention. This includes access to the Investor Concierge where we provide community members with cash flowing properties nationwide. There is NEVER any up selling! I've had friends that attended GURU weekend training's for over $20k and they always up sell you. Again it is difficult to give all the benefits on a forum I would strongly suggest attending an event in your area, meeting the people and making your own educated decision. I would post a link to local events but that may be inappropriate.  I hope this clears it up.

How much does a class cost and how many hours of education come per class?  Is there a sign-up fee?

I understand and identify with your point.  However on the other hand how can anyone else judge the education if they have not experienced it.  I would only say that before anyone makes an opinion on NR to at least go to a local event in your area and experience the people.  They often offer one day full events where prospects can sample education for free.  My main point is that so many are quick to give negative comments without the experience.  How can you comment if you've never had the experience.  On the flip side how is my comment genuine if I benefit from enrolling someone?  I would say develop your own opinion by going to a local event.

If you talk to a Student Advisor and he tries to make promises of big money over night or sell you don't speak with them.  For purposes of respecting the forum rules this will be my last comment on NR.  Happy Investing!

Jason - While I respect your opinion, the problem I see here is that you are an NRU advisor, according to your website.  You profit from recommending this company.  How on earth can anyone look at your  thoughts about the company as being exactly, non-partisan?

I would like to give my opinion since I have been a student and my intention is definettly not to spam the board.

The education is top notch and much less expensive than every other GURU company I have seen.  They have truly helped me in my Real Estate endeavors and saved me from many mistakes.  Most students do participate in marketing however that does not discount the education they provide.  There are many legit direct sales companies out there and I would attest that NR is one of them.

I say this simply because the school has helped me launch my investing business.

Buyer network? Likely to be the students who have taken a number of classes. No idea if the folks in the DB actually buy. Not likely your friend can find out prior to paying.

What about them just posting deals on BP? Or following the advice for how to build a buyers list?

If a person has a great deal (a deal that really is great) there will be plenty who will buy it. Most people find average deals and no one wants to take over an average deal.

I have a serious question related to this.  Someone I know is talking about getting involved in NR for the purpose of connecting with their buyer network.  Has anyone done this?  Sure we can all see right through the education mlm, but is there value in the database connections?

Ha, I actually just posted about Nouveau Riche in another topic where someone was asking about real estate schools.

From what I have heard, you will want to stay away from them.  Supposedly, they pretty much use their students as a marketing channel to help promote their educational products to other people who are interested in real estate.

At the end of the program, you supposedly get a 'degree', but from everything I have heard about them, the so-called degree doesn't really seem like it would be worth much due to the accreditation (or lack there of) with Nouveau Riche.

My recommendation would be to stay away from it.

Search these Forums for Nouveau Riche and you’ll find all that you need to know.  It is essentially an MLM disguised as “education”.  The whole premise is to separate you from your money with the idea that you can make it back by recruiting others.  There have been many from NR who were spamming the boards here and had to be banned.
