Success Path course with Tarek and Christina, worth $2000?

I'm attending a free session where they are advertising their 3 day course. Access to their private lenders who train you how to flip, wholesale and find the deals?

They promise to analyze the deal and money back guarantee.

Is this worth it?

Seriously though, any of the information you will get from them can be found in these forums for free. Your money is better spent on marketing materials after youve spent zero dollars here learning.

Escaped without spending any money. Really hard sell on their part. But I did feel like I needed a shower when I left. Tarek and Christina weren't like I thought was implied in their advertising. They are too busy filming more episodes and gaving anotger child.

They pitched the 3 day course at a reduced price of $2000 down from $5000 I think.

Then they pitched their taxlienbuyers.com club for $1200 I think down from some other overinflated cost.

Some people bought these and they even tried to peer pressure the rest of us into it.

I learned a couple of leads to look into.

Going to read my books I have already received and others that are coming in the mail. I have already learned more from BP than most of what they talked about.

So, a big thank you to the people on here!!

I have been pretty shocked at some of the seminar horror stories on BP.

Think about it like an investor would. Where do you get the best bang for the buck?

For little or no cost, you can tap the best minds in real estate with proven track records  How? You can find their ideas for free (at a library as mentioned) or a for few bucks used ( eg, my Friends of the Library store has all the classic real estate investment books for 50 cents to one dollar)... Or on BP through forums, blogs and podcasts... Rather than one celebrity real estate angle, you can get many approaches and much more experience leveraged for far less investment...

I went to a different TV one for the free event. Then they offered their 3 day for $197 (normally $1900 or some such). The wife and I decided that we would spend $200 at dinner and drinks/the bar/boredom shopping that weekend if we didn't go so we said sure.

It was a 3 day infomercial but in my opinion it was worth the $197. We got to meet some people in our area get a very rough grasp of how things worked. It excited us some and got us motivated. For someone with very little experience outside of purchasing their own house it was worth that much in my opinion.  (I wouldn't have paid 2K for it though)

That said the 3 days were pushing a "high end mentoring program" that was between 19K and 45K. As a new person in RE I figured I really needed to do as much research as I could before I did a "45K trust fall" into the arms of a mentor when I only had 3 days experience. I fully believe in mentoring, but I will say that was not the time for me to make that kind of decision. If you decide before the course that you are not going to go all in on their program, just leave your credit cards at home and don't fill out the "Application for consideration".

I know people who have gone to this.  The $2,000 weekend is just an advertising pitch to get you to spend tens of thousands of dollars on further "education".  You are better off educating yourself in other ways.

You can learn the same exact stuff for FREE. Use that money towards your actual investment(s).
