Whats the cheapest guru courses?

Question

Anything good out there? I got a couple good .pdfs from $1 freedomsoft trial, bought all the $1 ebooks off amazon.

Ebay courses have been a bargain.

The frustrated Investor course was good at $59, Naked investor $99. Who else has prices like this?

The cheapest guru course is other people's experience. It doesn't cost anything but your time.

My response is the joke that Ronald Reagan should have told. If you recall the one he did tell,  a little boy's Father shows him the barn of the home the family is about to move into.  Seeing a pile of horse manure in one of the stalls, the little boy gets excited and his Father asks: "Why are you so happy, Johnny?"

Johnny, ever the optimist replies, "Because there must be a pony!"

I suggest the Father might have been more candid and responded: "Johnny, sometimes there just isn't any pony, just..."

There's an incredible amount of information about real estate available for anything from free to many thousands of dollars. If you take action and attempt to do deals, you are going to get an education one way or another. I've purchased books that are not worth the paper they're printed on and listened to guru wannabes that don't even do the business that they claim expertise.  It's scary what people will claim with a straight face.

On the other hand, I've attended several $5,000+ seminars that made me many, many times the investment.

The tricky part is finding good value for your education.  If you're looking for general principles, start with the basics like Roy T Maloney's 'Real Estate Quick and Easy.' Anything from John Schaub. Since the original post did not specify anything about specific topic, quality or experience.

My vote for best classic course is Mike Cantu's "Don't get voted off real estate island." If you are not willing to invest the $400+ bucks, you're just looking to be entertained.

I strongly disagree with the others. Paying to invest in your education is a good thing. There are a lot of crappy Guru courses but the good ones tend to go into things in more depth then often done here. I have often replied to someone here that the answer they want is a book not a forum post.

You can get a lot of that knowledge here and other places for free but as long as you know that there is nothing wrong with buying a course that meets a particular interest.

You are already doing what I recommend. Many Guru courses cab be had on eBay very cheaply.  It has also been my experience that the best guru material are the cheapest.  There are some really good $50 eBooks and some really crappy $5,000 programs.

Checked out the library already, their amount of books on the subject is slim. Closest REIA is like 1-2 hours away. I would never spend $1000, Ive gotten some good stuff off ebay for $50.

I would say dont buy any more books I would join a local RIEA, some cost money I would put my $$$ towards that :D.  Just watch out for the $997 and the constant people/gurus trying sell you stuff.
