Wordpress Theme -- So many to choose from!

Hey guys, there are tons of wordpress themes out there.
Tons are free.
Lots cost money.

I figure that there are so many free ones that there are bound to be plenty of slick looking themes that are well diversified and functional.

Does anyone have a vote for a theme that has worked great for them or one that is super functional and customizable? Even for the free version?
