Fix and Flips

Isaiah Harris
Posted

Hi my name is Isaiah,

This will be my first time investing in real estate. I’ve watched a lot of videos and feel ready to get started. My credit is decent, though it could be better, and I can have some capital to work with. How should I begin? Any advice is appreciated.

Interested in the BRRR method/foreclosure fix and flips.

Hey Isaiah, I would recommend first getting your credit to 740 or better. Lenders will give you favorable terms with a higher credit score, even if you are a first time investor. Then I would ask other investors, network with them, to see if they can join in your deal and try to learn it from their experience. You might not make as much going at it solo, but you also won’t lose as much and can gain some valuable hand holding. Having the experience from a partner will also help secure favorable loan terms.
