Favorite Brand of Paint

What is your favorite brand of paint?  I'm looking for a cost effective yet durable paint for rentals. I haven't really noticed a difference between them as far as durability, but I'm young so maybe I just haven't lived through their life yet.

Hi @Kat Hussey, I had thought the same thing many times.  I usually got "the middle paint" at HD or Lowes and had good results until I started seeing some holes (the biggest knock is poor blending/touchup ability).    I also had some issues of paints mixed at the same store not being the same.

I purchased some cabinet paint from Sherwin Williams and ended up chatting with the SW sales rep and learned that they (and I'm sure most other non-big-box paint companies) have paints made especially for our context (high in durability, blending, and washability) and I've been using SuperPaint on my last few turnovers with good results.

Pro tip:  always get a pro account and talk to the sales rep about pricing.  They can adjust nearly every price.
