Seattle or Tacoma moving (piano) help recommendations?

A guy in my office's family owns Prosser Piano. Unfortunately Kyle, my colleague, is in Portugal at the moment, but everyone says they should know a reputable person to get that job done. They have a store here in Tacoma as well as a handful of others you can call. Or just sell the thing!

Hi @Brandon Turner, I am based out of Olympia and I have personal experience with a moving company here called "All Ready Moving and Storage". @Brandon Turner Welcome to paradise!  We will have to get together for a pau hana once you are out here :)

As for the Piano I would recommend seeing what Matson will do.  For an extra fee they will pack items that are shipped to one of their yards on the west coast.  A lot of people shipping items to Maui use DHX also, dependable Hawaiian Express.  They are a freight forwarder that charges by the cubic foot.

Be aware, shipping large heavy items to Hawaii is crazy expensive!

One more quick thought: if you're looking at shipping it to Maui, it may be worth looking into having it stored and then renting one while you're there.

Hi @Brandon Turner - A-1 Pianos in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle could probably help you with this.  They do rentals, tuning, and moving.  My wife is a piano teacher and she always sends her students there.

Just search for A-1 Piano and you'll find their site.

If you reach out to them, tell them Stacia Cumberland sent you.  They don't know her by name yet, but I want them to :-)
