Columbus Real Estate Market

Hello BiggerPockets community.

I have recently have my eyes opened to the opportunities of investing in real estate. I am in the process of saving for a down payment on a property and learning everything there is to know about real estate investing, specifically buy and hold rental properties. I lived in Louisville, KY for 21 years and just recently moved to Columbus, OH for a job.  I got to know the Louisville area very well during my life, but do not know anything about the Columbus area; popular, growing, safe neighborhoods etc.  Does anyone have any suggestions on books, websites, blogs etc, that i can use to learn more about the Columbus market? Responses to this post about the Columbus market would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Columbus @Zack Rosenbaum

I usually send people who are new to Columbus the Columbus Relocation Guide - it has around 100 pages of helpful info for people who have moved here... the housing and neighborhoods section begins on page 30.

There are a handful of investor networking groups that may be helpful to you - my favorite is the Central Ohio Investor Network (COIN), which meets monthly. You can sign up to be emailed with meeting notices here. Our next meeting in Tuesday the 19th.

Best of luck to you!
