Do I need to get my RE license?

Question

Im a newer wholesaler and I've been hearing(often) that in the near future RE investors will need a realestate license. Especially wholesalers.

Im not licensed but have a colleague who  is a RE broker and assists mr. Is that sufficient or do I need to consider getting my RE license?

Thanks Zachary (and,no problem). I appreciate your feedback. Im looking for reasonably priced classes. I guess I was trying to avoid it but the reasons you provided for why it is necessary make all the sense in the world!! Thanks for helping me in my decision!

Brent, I did ask and she is fine with it currently but since I currently only have one deal on the table its ok for her. I know as my business grows, I would gain more benefits and be more productive,as Brent suggested. Thanks you guys!

Jose, I'm wholesaling right now but my goal is to fix and flip,obtain some rental income property.

Brent, I will inquire about whether that colleague would or could agree to that,then let you all know. I'm learning so much from Bigger Pockets and this community!!

If you ask that colleague: "will you agree to advertise for sale, on my behalf, any property that I get under contract, while it's still owned by someone else, especially if I have no other way of closing on the Contract?", I'd be interested to read about their response. Can you do that please? Thanks.
