House hacking and the best way to do it!

Hello BP Family! I currently own a few rental properties, both single family and MF. I am currently living in my SF home that I bought 5 years ago before my wife and I got married and before REI changed my world! I am currently looking for suggestions, direction, guidance on house hacking. How do you find the deals? Where to look (besides the Zillow, realtor.com places)? How to structure the best deal? A duplex would be perfect but I would like to be in a nice neighborhood, and have decent square footage. Is that asking too much? We have two 1 year olds so being in a safe neighborhood is vital to convincing my wife that this is the best move to getting to financial freedom as quickly as possible. Would love to hear any thoughts, success stories, or anything else that would be helpful! Thanks in advance!! Rowan

I can't answer specifics about where to find the properties (work with an agent?) but here are considerations for house-hacking in general-

Hope that helps!
