First Rental Property

Investment Info:

Small multi-family (2-4 units) buy & hold investment in Milwaukee.

First Rental Property. Currently living in the Top Unit. We will live there for a couple years while we work towards our next rental and/or flip.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

It was a reasonable price duplex in a high rent neighborhood. Cash flow numbers checked out (1% rule). It required very little work/money to get going.

Great work @Josh Rowland!    Keep searching @Dylan Paul

I did my first real estate deal back in July 2015 and it was a duplex house hack just like you did here. I still own it today (moved out of it now) the rents have increased $600/mo from when I currently bought it and the value has increased over 60%. I am currently working on refinancing it and pulling out a ton of equity where I can then buy 2-3 other houses with that equity.

So just image this house someday giving you 2-3 more homes from its equity plus you still own it! Then image those 2-3 additional houses giving you 2-3 houses each and so on...
