Georgia Now Allows Remote Real Estate Closings - GAME CHANGER!!

As of March 31, 2020, all real estate closings in Georgia can be conducted with the parties being remote, with notarization and witnessing done remotely as well, for so long as the Public Health State of Emergency is in effect!

See https://garealtor.com/governor... for details.

This is a massive development! It means I can now close transactions on Georgia property from anywhere in the world, as long as I can hop on a video-conference call with my U.S. passport or drivers license handy.

As someone who's done two decades of mail-away closings with buyers and sellers scattered halfway around the world, I'm speechless!

This. Changes. Everything.

Oh wow. This is definitely a game charger. I was expecting massive disruption in the real estate industry but if this is adopted nationwide it should definitely soften the impact.
