how to handle unfair bad yelp or google reviews

I received a bad review from a former tenant after I charged them for kicking in the front door. They claimed I communicated poorly and said I took too long and screwed them out of their security deposit. Those claims are all 100% false. They had my cell phone number and could text for a very fast response, plus I got a website maintenance portal they can also use so our list never gets lost, we are very on top of our game.

I sent the itemized deposit statement 11 days after the lease ended. Keep in mind, I had to fix a door jamb, sheetrock too, hire painters and did it in under 11 days. I was also very generous in charging only $500 for cleaning and repairs to the unit. This is in Texas

When traveling through Italy, I read reviews on where I wanted to stay, and when a jerk picked on a well performing small landlord/host there, the Italians would reply with that jerks full name and give details as to problems that the tenant presented. I thought the host did well to give a clear context to the review so I could make a better decision. Can we do that? .. we allow

In the USA we allow anonymous detractors be anonymous when they defame and slander with lies. But the victim landlord (or realtor) has to maintain their jerks privacy??! Can we instead be like the Italians and call them out for what they are?

I would not do that. I would just reply back with the facts and maybe throw in a picture of the kicked-in door. You might also be able to appeal it to Google or Yelp, but try and stay away from being nasty.
