Creating Website - Advice

Hello,

I want to create my own real estate investor website. From a little research it looks like WordPress + BlueHost is a great way to go.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice or guidance on creating a good/affordable/professional website?

The basic functionality I am looking for is capturing leads.

Hey mate, I would discourage using the Wordpress & Bluehost combo. Unless you are absolutely positive you know what you are doing, setting up a Wordpress site can be a pain in the a#$. Also having it on a self-hosted platform will give you nothing but headaches down the road.

Just starting out I would recommend looking at something like Wix or Squarespace.

1. They both are easy to set up, meaning you pick a template and "drag & drop".

2. They both provide the hosting as part of the package.

3. They both are packed full of marketing and integration tools that are built in.

The marketing tools (social media integration) are probably the most valuable part. Listen, just having a website is 1/10th of the battle. Getting traffic and converting leads is the hardest part. Take your workload off making the site and focus more on getting a return on your efforts.

We started Ohiocashflow.com on Wix and it worked for us for years. We eventually just outgrew it. After going through two failed "out of the country, but cheap" private web designers, we actually have a web designer/marketing manager on staff now. She kicks a#$ and finally got the job done right for us.
