Re renting a single family house

I’m an out of state investor and I’ve owned a house in Indianapolis for over five years. It recently became vacant. Can anyone give me information about how long it should take my property manager to turn the house around for re-renting it? It’s been 6 weeks or so, and I’m getting very little information from my property manager.

Should I be looking for another property manager?

@Michael Riba are you referencing:

- Getting the property RentReady to put on the market?

or

- Getting a property being marketed filled?

RentReady timeline depends on:
- Scope of Work
- Owner approval
- Owner Funding
- Maintenance staff queue

No matter where in the process, your PMC should be communicating so you are clear about process & where your property is in that process.

Filling Vacancy depends on the market, but the national average is near 50 days.

Again your PMC should be communicating where they are advertising your property and giving you at least bi-weekly feedback.

If all this is not being done and your expectations not being met, it's time to have a brutally frank conversation with your PMC and possibly starting the search for a new one.
