Calling All Property Managers

Dalton Foote

Property managers are you hurting for handyman contractors for your maintenance and turnovers here in southwest Florida? What is holding you back from bringing techs in house or having a construction management division to provide better service to investors?

Hi Dalton--I can weigh in here from NYC (not Florida). Many property managers employ a part-time handyman but not specialized techs due to a fluctuation in demand. Many homeowners prefer to use their own techs, which would also diminish demand. Often, though, continuing to price shop for each turnover can yield very competitive rates and keep vendors "on their toes" in terms of bidding.
