Switching property management

Anyone care to share bad/good experience with switching property management companies?

I own a duplex in Windsor, Ontario and I'm looking into switching management. Im supposed to give my manager 2 months notice if I intend to part ways but I'm a bit hesitant. He's sent notice to the LTB because one of my tenants is currently 2 months behind on rent. Should I wait for this to clear up before switching?

I just made the switch from one PM to another. The previous PM was difficult to work with when I was with them; and they are difficult to work with trying to get the last of my monies (only $400, but that's still a lot of money really).

The hardest part is making the decision to fire them and stick to it. I debated for the entire time I was with them, but just kept giving them opportunity after opportunity to do the right thing. At least they consistently screwed up.

Is it a case of better the devil you know, or is there a better one out there? Go shopping for your next one and be ready to pull the trigger.
