has anyone attended real estate school on their own or thru a real estate company?? what are the pros and cons of going thru a company or doing it on your own? have anybody in the west michigan area have any good ideas of schools for realtor license.

My Boyfriend Kevin is having a hard time deciding. I feel that he should do it on his own but he wants to go thru a company like keller williams and etc...

@Sharnell James I apologize if I am not understanding what you are saying, but it seems you might have the wrong idea on the schooling aspect of real estate. If you are speaking in relation to becoming a real estate agent then he must go through a school to meet the requirements implemented in your state. For instance in New York I am taking a 75 hour course through an approved school by the Department of State.

After being licensed Keller Williams does offer tons of training to its licensees, but obviously it is not the same across the board. My advice to him after taking the required course and passing the state exam is to sit down with the broker at Keller Williams and ask any questions he may have. I recently had the pleasure of doing so and it really helped me out a lot. Again I apologize if I misunderstand what you are trying to say, but I hope this answers some of your questions!

Good Luck!
