Getting Started in Indy - Neighborhood Tips Appreciated!
Hi everyone!
I'm a beginner investor from outside the U.S., currently focusing on the Indianapolis market.
I visited Indy back in March, even climbed the tower downtown (by stairs!). At the time, I was looking into commercial deals, so I didn’t explore much of the residential areas. I also met with a few commercial brokers in Carmel, and I know Carmel and Fishers are considered more high-end.
Since returning home, I realized it’s better to start with single-family properties and build my way up as I gain experience.
I'd love to hear from those familiar with Indy about the neighborhood atmosphere - which areas are considered rough, which are decent, and which are solid for buy-and-hold, aiming for $250K ARV areas.
I would like to hear everything you have on Indy, and appreciate every comment, and would like to connect and talk now and down the road when i will be more active and prove my seriuosness.
