Rates Are Sliding Fast — Anyone Else Seeing This?

Rates are dropping quick right now. Earlier this week I saw 5.8% on the commercial side from a local regional bank, and then yesterday we saw 5.6% on the conventional residential side.

Rates went up fast, and now it looks like they’re falling just as fast. Hopefully it’s a slippery slope down from here.

Now if only the government would get their head out of their A$$, we rest easy knowing 2026 is going to go gangbusters! 

That said I really hope prices don’t start climbing again. Affordability in New England is already stretched thin.

Anyone else seeing these kinds of drops from local lenders?

It’s great for deal flow, but like you said, hopefully prices don’t jump right back up. Lower rates without runaway appreciation would be the sweet spot for investors right now.
