Colorado "for-cause eviction"

Colorado landlords will no longer have free rein to refuse to renew their tenants’ leases under a measure passed last month by the state legislature and signed by the governor. Does anyone know how if this will potentially affect mid-term rentals?

    I read the article.

The last sentence says these provisions do not take effect until a resident has lived in the property at least 12 months.  My initial leases would certainly be 11.5 months or less with this new law.
