Agent representation in Lorain, OH

Posted

Hello,

Out-of-State investor, I recently acquired a rental property in Lorain, OH.

The regulations impose an agent representation at three levels:

1. The Ohio State Statutory agent, for the LLC
2. The County Rental Registration (the State Statutory agent can be used)
3. The City Housing License, which must reside in the City of Lorain (for non-residents)

I have an agent for the LLC, but unfortunately, not in the City of Lorain.

I'm looking for advice here because I couldn't find a State Statutory Agent with an address in Lorain City - which would be the simplest. An individual with a physical address that would open/scan or forward the mail received from the City would work. A connection to someone who would accept this for a fee would be appreciated.

Thank you!

What is the person liable for?

Here in Metro Detroit, the cities with this requirement typically want that person to be LIABLE for any infractions. Thus this person IS TICKETED!

So, it would only make sense for a PMC to take on this liability.
