Good places for flyers/business cards?

Hi All,

In my voracious quest to start and spread my marketing, I had a question for all of you wholesalers out there.

I'm thinking on top of direct mail, bandit signs, etc. it would be a good idea to start leaving business cards and flyers anyplace I can.  Seems like very low cost and easy marketing.

Has anyone done this?  Where were some of your favorite places to leave or put up these materials?  Any confirmed leads from any of the places you left marketing?

With Business cards, simply leave them everywhere you go and give one to everyone you meet. But go the extra mile and be ready to tell them who you are and what you do in a short "elevator" speech. Be matter of fact i your approach, not salesy- cheesy to use my friend @Shane Woods words....

With flyers, almost all grocery stores have bulletin boards, as well as many churches.

In addition to direct marketing, I have magnet signs on my car.  I've gotten a few calls using this method.  Also, I put my business cards on the driver's side window of cars in parking lots of, for example, Home Depot, Walmart, Target etc.

take your business cards/flyers into Starbucks, stores in shopping malls, literally anywhere that generates a lot of foot traffic. Approach the cashier at these places and give them a stack of your cards or flyers or whatever else marketing tools you use. Tell them that if they give out your flyers or business cards to customers when they checkout with them, and one of them calls you and you end up doing a deal with them, then you will give them X number of dollars for their referral. Instead of leaving your business cards in a stack next to the cash register, have that cashier be a part of  your team and  motivate them to help you

In some cities, there are designated places where you can put your flyers. Community bulletin boards, usually in your local Chamber of Commerce or in some local groceries and community organizations. In some cities, you can post your flyers on light poles. Attach a couple of flyers so people can take them home.

@Jerry Puckett you funny man.  Salesey Cheesey works for some people.  Not me.  Be yourself and leave your cards EVERYWHERE.  Make sure on the back you have something like WE BUY HOUSES! Really big if your business card is more corporate looking on the front.  And put them with the WE BUY HOUSES part facing so people can see them.  People don't care who you are, they care what you can do for them.

Vista print makes descent business cards. Make sure you don't get the cheap ones.. Upgrade to thicker stock.. I design my own and use them to print.. pretty good deal.. don't waste $$ by upgrading to faster shipping. I got mine next day with free shipping..
