Are Code Infractions available in public records

Hi Everyone,

I heard that direct mailing folks who have a code infraction might be a good way to generate leads.  Are code infractions generally available online the way that owners records are?  I live in Franklin County in Columbus, Ohio and so far haven't had any luck finding a list of code infractions online.

Thanks!

Brad

As far as I know where I live (Raleigh) you have to walk down to the inspections division for the city. I do not think they are online. I went there once and they gave me the list. I should go back hah

@Bradley Spencer  Give them a call, I posted there info. Code enforcement you can usually get a list from, might have to pay a fee, I think it cost $22 last time I got it. Building code violations are different here in my town and not open to public. I target condemned house frequently. let me know if I can help you.

AWESOME find! I've been looking, but Google was no help.  Happen to know if Wake County has a list like this? I'm marketing in Holly Springs, Apex, Fuquay and would love this for those areas

Thanks so much everyone for your help.  This is a lot of great information.

It appears that some counties make this information available online while others do not.  From what I can tell, Franklin County does not put these online.

@Richelle T.   Your respond was especially helpful.  I'll let you know if I find a way to get the code infractions online.

@Bradley Spencer  You may have to go visit them. I tried calling to appeal my code violation but I got no answer and no call back, lol. That is the same location for utility inspections and permits. FYI - They close early, around 3:30-4pm, so don't tarry if you do plan to go.
