proffesional site vs basic site?

Question

is it better to have a professional vibrant looking website or a plain and basic looking site when trying to attract sellers/buyers for your wholesaling business?  since alot of people prefer handwritten bandit signs over pro printed ones im thinking this goes the same for your site? if anyone has any opinions ....thanks.

I believe that having substance and accessibility will trump either scenarios.  If you put the information that people are looking for on the website, i.e. pictures, blogs, newsletters, etc.. and they are a good representation of what you're looking to convey, you should have a strong website.  I think you will find that when the content is good the website will fit accordingly and present itself as being appropriate for the particular type of business.

I am not clear about you definition of â€˜Professionalâ€ or â€œNon Professionalâ€ website. To me a professional site will be where you can find a lot of bells and whistles added to it and a basic site will be a site with just the right information: 
-	About us
-	Contact us
-	Some recent news
-	May be a blog etc

The look could be great for both the sites, which will depend how much you want to spend and the merit of the person will do it for you.

What I would do is, find a site layout/design that I like and then go to Guru.com and try to get it donâ€™t cheaper. And you need a referral let me know :) since i haved worked with 2/3 guys from there.
