Hi Porsha,

You should get a few contractor bids in person to really know the price, or else it's a big gamble.

You should also know how to specify what you want done, because paint a kitchen can be done with any number of different materials and many different types of prep work. 

Meaning what you think you want can be easily miscommunication to the contractor. And at the end of the job if you didn't get what you wanted but did get what you asked for, you still have to pay.

In short, you need to know what your asking the contractor to do "exactly" for the price he quotes you, or you are likely to get something you didn't intend, and you still have to pay for it.

That's the downside to using an online estimate, it's very general.
