Brand new investor, first time posting.

Hello everyone, I have been trying to learn as much as possible reading the BP books and listening to podcasts and I am thinking of buying my first investment property. I have raised 20k and have 10k of my own money ready to put as a down payment (along with additional funds for closing costs.)

I am interested in investing in Akron, OH and I am weighing out going with rent to retirement for my first investment or finding my own deal. Again this will be my first investment and I want to make sure it goes well so I can continue on my real estate journey.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, I would love to hear from active investors in the Akron area and their experience.

Thank you!

For your first deal - or if you are busy working a W2 and do not have a ton of time - Zach Lemaster and Rent To Retirement is where I would go.
