"New" Member in the PA/NJ Area

I am a new/old member, and I say that because I have been reading BiggerPockets since 2008, but I just now created an account.

Anyway a little about me:

I was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Burlington NJ. I graduated from Burlington Towhsip Highschool in 2006.

I served in the active duty Army from 2006-2010. I was stationed in Georgia, Germany and Texas. My service includes a 15 month deployment to Iraq.

I got interested in real estate in 2007 while I was still in Iraq. I joined BiggerPockets and spent a lot of time learning the different ways to get involved in real estate. When I finally got back to the US purchased my first investment property in 2009. It was a multi-family (4 unit) property in Copperas Cove Texas (close to FT HOOD) that I used my VA loan to purchase. I lived in one unit and rented the other 3 units out. To date this has been my most successful investments, and this is how I got started investing in real estate.

I got my real estate salesperson license in August 2013.

I currently attend Temple University pursuing a BBA in Real Estate (scheduled to graduate May 2015)

I look forward to networking with other like minded people. I am currently working on a SFR in Camden, NJ that I plan on renting, then selling 2-5 years from now.
