Abandoned Motorcycle in Arizona Rental

I thought this thread was entertaining and I saw value in all of the replies. Contrived opinion or thin skinned...entertaining.

I have dealt with a lot of abandoned vehicle and by a lot I would say 20+. Seems like a lot to me. I have called salvage yards and had vehicles removed. No title, no problems. Was it legal? Yes, as a private property owner I can have anything towed and impounded. The vehicle sits for a period of time at the salvage yard until they get salvage title. I have gone through the process of getting a title on an abandoned vehicle and I would not ever do that again. Time is money and that was a ridiculous process.

I have literally pushed vehicles into the street and reported them as abandoned. This is a quick solution to a problem.

I am not a junk collector and I am not a storage facility. If I have no proof that something in my possession belongs to someone then they have no proof that something that belongs to them is in my possession. If I don't know who's it is then it needs to go.

If someone says "hey can I leave such and such for a few days" then that is a different story. The best part about living in America is that if someone believes I broke the law and by breaking the law I owe them something then they can take me to court or call the cops. The cops will say it is a civil matter and the court will want proof.

I would be interested in an abandoned vehicle like I would be interested in a gun sitting in a garbage can. Doesn't matter who legally owns it, or how much its worth, I don't know where its been, and I don't need it. Its like owning a rabbits foot for good luck. Luck is a matter of perspective and other peoples things can be the antithesis of luck. My personal opinion is that I have enough things to worry about without adding in other peoples stuff.

I hope the bike works out and that you recover costs. But when posting opinions on social media you have to expect diversity of opinion and off topic conversation.
