Is wholesaling in NYC legal?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out if wholesaling via assignment clause in the purchase contract is legal in NYC.

I spoke to several people in the industry and getting mixed signals.

If you have an attorney with such expertise, referral would be greatly appreciated
