Do I have any recourse?! Tenant evicted - owes me plenty!

To make a long story short - I had a tenant that had a living situation turn sour and she kicked her boyfriend out in February. He was paying half the rent so starting last February she started to fall behind... to the point where a month ago she turned her being late on rent - back on me, saying I was always hassling her for rent. I hired an eviction company - and I have the keys and have a crew set to do a make ready on it... she certify mailed me the keys and has moved to an extended stay hotel.

I'm obviously keeping her $1,000 security deposit - but she also owes me over $3,000 in missed rent. Do I have any recourse? Is it worth it to hire an attorney to go after her? Or am I just stuck that money? Lesson learned though - stick by your lease!
