Zillow Background Checks & Online Payment

This is my first rental property so never realized that Zillow has its own application & background check option. Does anyone rely on this or used it at all? I've heard of some other popular ones but this must be relatively new as I didnt know Zillow did this. 

Also they have an online payment option that they say is completely free. Anyone used this to collect rent?
