Every morning, I have to remind myself that it is NOT the things that happen to me that matter, BUT how I RESPOND/REACT to the things that happen to me.  Life will deliver good news and bad news, it's just life.  But my response to what happens is directly related to my happiness and success.

On a daily basis, I make sure I am up to date on all my managers and what they are doing.  When my managers know that I am on top of things, they stay on top of things.

As for me, lately the most valuable thing has been networking and talking to like minded individuals. The wealth of knowledge I gain as well as the potential for deal making has really ramped up by business the past few months.

Networking, sharing knowledge, and learning leads to more transactions for me  as well as deals for my own investing.

For commercial seller listings and off market properties my mailers work.

I would have to say the most valuable thing I do on a daily/weekly basis is follow up on my leads by getting aggressive with the phone calls and door knocks.  I notice that whenever I do I can put a deal or two on the table within a matter of days.

My challenge is that I sometimes get caught up in marketing and lead generation (incl. research which is the part I enjoy the most).

My other challenge is getting bogged down in the other day to day aspects of running a business.

Ideally as I re-structure my business, All I want to deal with (primarily) is research and interacting with sellers. No deal processing, selling or even project/property management as that would be handled by others on my team.

There are still a lot of things I want to accomplish to build my business.  Consequently, I sometimes get caught up in doing a little of a lot of things or even wasting time because I get stressed out.  So every day I try very hard to concentrate on what really matters to my business now.  For example my number one priority is marketing.  If there is a marketing task to do it gets done first.  Second is follow-up calls and the list goes on.  Right now I have two rehabs going on and even getting to follow-up calls is tough sometimes with all of the other things that go along with running a business.   So to answer Joshua's question I try very hard to always know what the priority is that moves my business forward.  Reading or listening to 7 Habits does help with this.
